diaphragm broke on the bros like 2 weeks ago, just strolled in took it out and repaired it with a condom, Like a boss!
Should keep me going for another few hundred miles saving the pennys for £81 each diaphragms
Pics for those who want to see it.
Yes its a complete mess but it works, i could have done a better job but don't have time right now its only to last till i can get a new one.
The shiny/rough stuff round the edge is just glue, it dosen't dry solid so it won't affect the flexability much.
And before you ask, yes i did spill my coffee erlier ¬¬

My Bros diaphragms have got really baggy so don't seat properly. I've considered sending them off to: https://www.nrp-carbs.co.uk/honda_carburettor_diaphragms.htm
£32 each fitted, a bit better than £81 for Honda ones. ____________________ Riding: BMW R1150RT `02 bought mildly crashed
Fixing: Also the BMW as I get less broken bits

Hadn't your dad already bodged it with Plasti-Dip? I'm taking back that Man Point I awarded him.
Presumably you tested to see how long a condom lasts when exposed to petrol vapour, right? ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Had a small hole in one of the diaphragms on my B6 turned out cheaper too just buy some used carbs off the bay, suggest you try looking instead of new dia.
Oh and I had the same mug as you (well two of them they break too easily) ____________________ Current: 02 FZS 1000 & 91 Royal Enfield Bullet 350 Some Bike Pics...

Take them out and let them dry out for a day. They are baggy because they have soaked up petrol vapour, it's a solvent so let them dry out a bit and you should be fine to refit. |
