Yeah well done , sexy bike ya got there such a shame to restrict it i'm not sure how the restriction thing works, if you tell the insurance you just passed they may ask if its restricted and if so to see the certificate, if they don't ask then its down to them i guess, could be wrong ____________________ If a word is misspelled in the dictionary, how would we ever know?

Well done on passing.
Some insurance companies do ask for them, and others don't ever ask for them. Was never asked for on ZX6R and TL1000R (when I was renewing my insurance on the ZX6R they asked me if my CBT was still valid:lol:) and was never asked for them by police, was stopped by a bike cop who didn't know about the 33bhp stuff. Probably worth getting the restrictors fitted so you have the paperwork so in the event of a claim (when they're most likely to ask for the proof) you have it to show them. Do know people who have had claims and havn't been asked for proof, despite the restrictors being under the seat .
If you take them out then there is very little chance (well thats my opinion really) of being caught, but there is still the chance of being caught and being slightly fucked due to not having valid insurance, and being done for riding without a license and without insurance, so just be aware of the possible risk before doing it.
Going 2 fast, the test costs £48. |

HEEEEYYYY, I didn't know there was anyone else from Edinburgh on this forum! Actually I live just outside Edinburgh, in Livingston, but go through to Edinburgh pretty much every day. Only for another week though, because then uni starts and I'm back up to Aberdeen. ____________________ I don't hate Rocky Balboa...I PITY the fool...And I will destroy any man who tries to take what I got! |
