Anyone know anything about the 'warrior dispatch' honda cg125 replica?

I've been offered a 2 year old one, low mileage for £600.

obviously I don't 'like' the old style cg125, and I'd rather something else, but for a learner on a budget is this deal too good to pass up?

I can't find anything about this particular rep on the internet.

The fact that you cant find any info on the 'net should tell you how good they are...not!

I had a Vulcan Harrier 125 which is another CG copy and it was crap, the build quality was horrendous,it rattled and vibrated so bad it shook the filaments out of the rear bulbs everytime I used it,I had to drive 15-20 miles home in the dark with no rear light...nice.
A few days later one of the studs that holds the rear shocks on just completely fell off, after looking at it closely there wasn't even any welding on it to hold it into the frame. Shocked These are the 2 faults which stick most in my mind...there were too many others to list...have you got all night??

Needless to say I was very pissed off and took it back and got a stonking deal on a Hyosung Comet gt125 which is brilliant in my opinion.

Of all the many CG replicas out there I'd say the Kymco Pulsar is about the best I know a couple people who have these and they seem to be quite good,at least they haven't fallen apart yet!
You're best bet though would be to find yourself a cheap CG125,theres plenty about just take a look on Ebay or biketrader.co.uk

Cheers.

You can get a CG125 that is a few years old (say 2000) for not much at all, and you know it will go on and on without having to do much to it!

It seems strange I can find nothing about it on the net, because I've heard the name mentioned a few times.

I'm looking to spend around £500, this just seems like to good-a-deal to pass up, the guy who owns it is a bike nut, he's had the rear shocks changed, new tires, the works. I'd be very very suprised if he bought a sub-standard motorcycle.

I wouldn't mind a post '96 cg, I think they're quite nice. But it's all about the right bike in the right place, and the right bike just hasn't shown up at the moment.

I check biketrader and ebay regularly. a nice 125 superdream showed up on ebay this morning, £300 with 8 months MOT, sold by the time I'd managed to email them to sort out a viewing.

You could get a CG125 or a few others for about 500 quid. You'd even get a rough AR125 for that, which is only group 4 insurance (cg is group 3)
