Cars getting wider to accomodate lardarses, judging by my little trek into town cars are going to get very very wide which reminded me of this

You live in the north so you can't filter anyway. No change.

Its true though.

There are some drivers (predominantly BMW drivers these days, as opposed to the biker's old nemesis, the Volvo driver) ... who seem to take up so much space in their X5-6-7-8-whateverrrrrr ... that you could squeeze between two lorries before you could get past one of them fat-arsed twats, with a mini in the other lane.

How are those new Minis called a "Mini" anyway, they're at least twice the size of the original ones, and they've got such fucking huge arses on them, even the Renault Megane has a slimmer arse profile.

There is more than enough space to pass between two cars, van and car/truck and car.
It is the drivers who are oblivious to riders wishing to filter, think they are preventing law breakers by blocking us from filtering or just don't like anyone to be able to get in front of them.

I give most offenders the benefit of possibly they are unaware that I am there.

Most annoying are the b4stards who deliberately block my progress.

Fact: 'New' Minis are trendy and anything with t*ts an' a f*nny driving one is trendy. Usually the fat arsed sort of trendy too.

Razz

These same folk have automatic air freshener machines, Naff as fook stainless retro kettles, senseo (pod style) coffee makers, polished bare wood floors through-out and stuff out of Ikea all over the hoose.

Why am I thinking pots & kettles.....

Why does mini have huge arse?

Presumeably to offer favourable comparison..... "Does my Bum Look Big in this?"

That was my point*, Teffers ... that if I can get thru with my fat arse, how can those "Mini's" take up so much space with their arses?

*albeit somewhat convoluted and clouded by female logic ...

living in the north has it's benefits, such as countryside and no southeners (apart from the ponsy ones who buy a farm and 1 of each animal) Laughing

Lets not forget the cold. Hmm just thought what about Kent, East and West Sussex, Hertfordshire, Thames Valley, Essex. Do these not count as countryside?

Well it is, but...

Southern Countryside:

Lovely and all that. But probably not what salty had in mind.

Good countryside (North):

On topic, if there isn't enough room to get a bike between two Maibatsu Monstrosities, they'll end up veering into each other anyway. It's a self solving problem.

Sitting in the passenger seat of my bosses e90 3 series felt considerably tighter than that of my e36 3 series - about 13 years and two generation between them. Both two door, though his was the convertible while mine the coupe - but I don't believe the folding hard top intrudes in to the passenger space.

Don't really see much decent filtering outside London - and usually then it's either couriers coming from London or BCF people Razz.
Definitely not much up here.
Saying that, find I get held up most by other bikers in London, while at least elsewhere generally it's either a case of blitzing buy them or them actually making a bit of an effort.

Its more expensive commuter belt than proper countryside in a lot of these areas really.
For real country you need to get away from the home counties and head north or to Wales.
The south is very flat and uninteresting in terms of landscape comparably, admittedly there are some leafy areas but I don't think there is the sort of dramatic mountain scenery that would rival Snowdonia for instance.

Not that it would rival huge snowy mountains, but down this way we have some nice flowing coastal roads.

Don't have any pics though and don't know how to copy and paste a google maps link Thumbs Down

Have you only just noticed......

I used to have a 2 ltr Serria estate, that I could easily get down the side of our old house.
3 years ago got a much smaller hatchback.....
Could only just get it down the side....

Oh and then there is the parking in any space in a car park.... Some cars are lucky to be able to get between the lines, never mind be able to open theiir doors.....

Quite apt username you have for this thread as well Laughing
