Not really.

More than the 30 mph offered by later "restricted" peds, but not the 60mph offered up by period bullshitters. 45 - ish I think is a realistic top speed for an early fizz.


James May got 35mph out of a Fizzy on one of his TV shows. Thumbs Up Don't quote me on that as I can't find the clip on YouTube, but I think it maxed out at 35.

I think it was higher then that, more like 42mph. Then they tuned the hell out of one and tested it getting something like 46mph Laughing

The show was called "All I want for Christmas 1977" and he got to apparently 45mph.
