Do like, just because it's technically very clever. The Superquaddro (?) engine is trick as fuck, and you have to admire Ducati's dedication to resisting the 4 cylinder way of doing things. From what I've heard the damn thing even has a crankcase scavange pump! I think it's safe to say that Europe now produces the best superbikes, with the Panigale, Beemer S1000RR (soon to be upgraded with a new electronics package) and the Priller RSV4 APRC (Miniscule, 180bhp, class leading electronics, Nissan GTR Eater). Yet the Jap stuff is pretty much standing still (oh look the new Gixxer 'thou has a different silencer zzzzzz).

The electronic suspension is the only think I see of interest - and just because it hasn't been put on a sports bike as stock before.

I like the idea more for being able to adjust it on the fly on track - much easier to tell the difference between two settings by being able to press a button and try the other setting the next lap, rather than having to wait an hour for your next session.

Hopefully BMW will 'catch up' with this for next year, as they already have the technology on their heavier bikes.

It'd also be interesting to see this combined with the BMW 'part of the lap' fucntion - so you could actually have different settings for different corners on a track!

lol, i guess wont know till its released and to be fair bmw did pull out all the stops with the s1000r, it would be hard to beat with out putting a lot of money in to a new model in a climate where bike sales do not justify it

Got a Tweet back from Ducati UK saying the official release is 6pm today so will have more info then.

I think performance and tech wise I think it will be mental. 155kg wet with the standard euro crap exhausts!!

Looks wise Ducati folk are split pretty much like the 999 but I actually like it. Front has a mix of 1098/916 series but not sure on the funky shock and midpipes sticking out
