I replace my speedometer today, but as I bought it new, it say 00000.3km (it's in km not miles)

I'm planning on selling the bike to get a bigger one once I've done my full test.

My bike has done just over 3000km.

Do I need to adjust the speedo?

It's 2010 model, so never been serviced (which I do need to do, the tyres are looking a little used)!

A friend said something about the log book? I fitted it myself.
I'm very new to biking as you may be able to tell...he also said I need insurance? wtf!

(last bit is a joke).

No need to do anything but you must be honest about it when selling. It is not illegal to change the mileage on a vehicle, but it is illegal to misrepresent the mileage.

Get pictures of the old and new one together, maybe of you swapping them over etc as evidence to convince a buyer you're legit.
