Vintage Brough Superior v twin side valve.
Ridden as it's meant to, every day transport.
Seen at a show in Wolverhampton.
Nice bike but how long did it take to start ?? how many kicks ??

There's a real knack to it that requires practise. Using your body weight doesn't help that much as it's only accelerated by gravity A swift hard kick that gets faster all the way down to the bottom is needed. You can make matter easier by firmly but slowly pushing it round to TDC before each attempt, then way you have the compressed gas helping you spin the engine over rather than hindering it.

Not me kicking, it was the owner.
I started kicking from the start in my yoof & have the leg scars to prove it from a vicious BSA Bantam.
Big Triumphs & Enfields of the day once I past my test after a few 250's, mates big singles were the most fun though Very Happy

I had a 625 and a mate had a 660, though the kick start on that was on the left Shocked
Trying to start one up when the pilot jet is blocked is a good leg workout Laughing

Damn lol sorry i should have fecking read it, i was there down working for a week and remember hearing all those fecking machines playing those fecking annoying tunes. I had a look at the bikes there were a few there.

Nice bike. i remember dads venom taking a while to kick, but only because you had to build the compression up first.
