I passed the 'permanent' roadworks on the A1 North today about 25 miles South of Scotch Corner.
I just noticed that they (scamararseholes) have two cameras aimed towards the rear of vehicles heading North.
The 1st pole as you join the works is on the left side and faces the front of vehicles heading North. The second pole with the 'offending' cameras is in the centre reservation or whatever they use to split the traffic.

I lost count (got bored) and forgot to look for the corroborating pole later on.

Devious so-an-sos.

I could never figure out why they always let bikes slip through un-detected.

Maybe they are out of use and not aligned yet. Traffic flows are constantly changed.
They operate that stretch of road like a kid's train set.

Fuck. I was up that way the other day and didn't notice this. Hopefully thats because they were pointing the 'right' way at the time.

Don't worry, you have 10-14 days of freedom to get that 'Bike' thing out of your blood before they come to bang you up for 1 mph over the Posted Speed Limit Plus 10% (plus the 1mph additional grace on top.)

Don't think it will be too much of a problem, northbound it was pretty busy so wasn't moving too quick. Southbound might have been a bit quicker, but not loads. Hopefully the fact that the plate is filthy might get me away with it;)

Hi

Yet another set of these. Sneaky buggers. Others I know of are on the A38 north of Brum and on the Cat & Fiddle.

All the best

Keith
