Are you sure you haven't just fogged up your visor by breathing? Laughing

Is Kent known for being especially foggy then?

Cos I noticed Lukey mentioning fog earlier.

And I recall having a particularly inauspicious moment myself several years back with fog directly after the Dartford Bridge, one evening in [probably] the late half of the year.

Ghastly stuff.

Laughing yeah I know. Whitstable is nice, too.

To be honest, I don't care what sort of shit hole I live in: where I hang my hat, I make it my home. Once I close the door, the outside world is Out There, and its about the environment you create within, even if its a shitty hovel (which mine is), its the atmosphere that makes it happy.

But the big fella and I decided we'd both like to live by the sea - so anywhere by the sea, so long as we are together, I don't really care. Commutable would be good, but *shrug* I'm so nauseatingly loved up Wub Wub Puke I wouldn't even care, so long as I was with him ... I'd prefer somewhere that wasn't TOO foggy, but actually, thats kind of romantic in a French Lieutenant's Woman sort of way, innit. okay sorry ... puke squared LOL

I've looked down there, its very lovely, and VERY tempting.
Would only be a matter of finding an NHS trust that needs a clever brainy adorable secretary, LOL

Who the hell pays mega bucks to live in Westgate, when I lived there it was all shithole, the only thing it had going for it, was it was closer to work than where I lived before.

At the risk of turning this into the 'where to live in Fffannitt' thread, I would get as near to Broadstairs as I could, assuming I would ever go back there at all.

Sandwich is nice, in a blue rinse, afternoon tea kinda way, but Broadstairs has more and better pubs/restaurants and the added advantage of the folk festival, plus it's not quite so seedy, off season.

You havent been to Broadstairs on a saturday night lately have you?

Hellcat if you want decent commuting links Whitstable is very good, but the house prices have shot up due to the influx of DFLs (down from londons) lots of celebs are now taking to the place. Its probably one of the nicer seaside towns this way. but a 2 up 2 down is likely to cost you 220 grand. Same place in planet Thanet 130 k!

To be fair, we've lost that charm now. Zizzis, Prezzo, Costa, Spoons.... It's no different to any other town by the sea.
