my mate takes his staffy every where since it was a pup
when it was small it would just sit between his legs and half on the tank,
and he'd hold it in place,
same now, but the dog has learnt to balance better,

its quite funny because my mate put some sunnies on him one day,
and like most dogs hated it, untill he realised that he could see better on the bike, now you can put sun glasses on him and he doesnt mind,

the dog loves bikes, every time he hears one, he has to check it out,
and if you visit, when you come out the dog is sitting on your bike wanting to go for a ride Very Happy

I had an Australian mate who used to take two dogs with him when he and his Mrs went to rallies all over Australia. They took them in the panniers, usually. His nickname was Al Two-Dogs Laughing

Then there's Mouse from ratbike.org and Mollie, his rottie...

I think I saw him on "Police! Oi!" recently, being harassed by some grumpy slaphead in a hi-vis. Probably gets a lot of that. Very Happy

seen a few way of peeps doing it,

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1301778/Dog-plastic-carrier-box-accompanies-owner-pizza-delivery-round.html

best bet is probably a standard topbox hole cut in top with a clear dome fastened to top and a few holes. Dog has its own rear gunner lookout then lol

Not of the motorway cops thing but he was concerned about whether Molly would be upset or not in the trailer so he rigged a camera to watch her on the journeys. She loves it. His previous rottie also loved both the trailer and sidecar but used to shit in them.

On the tank would have been my first choice but there's not much room and I usualy have a tank bag/satnav combo on there. I might still give it a go see what it feels like. Hmmmnz, what does your mates Staffie do if it sees another dog?

Sidecar is deffo out of the question

nothing, its pretty well trained,
its tumbled off a couple of times when it was younger and wasn't paying attention, but now it knows better Very Happy

is the dog, i can't find any pics of him on the bike,

the old man used to put his little Australian terrier (about the same size as a foxy) in a record box tied to the pack rack,
it was fine in that, and might be the better option if the dog is a bit flighty, a bit of the mesh tiedown stuff should keep the dog contained in the box, if hes a jumper Very Happy

I've seen dogs in a harness on trike bench seats & small dogs in shoulder bags useually carried by females.
Several people have told me about a spanial that used to lie on the tank of a large bike, flopped like a rug must of had velcro for belly fluff.
Saw this dog trailer on a bike rideout, it had two large dogs in it.
Huskies i think, didn't see it on the run itself though.

Hi

Locally I have seen a small dog in the top box of a Blackbird. Had a hole cut in the lid of the top box so it could see out, but also had a lead secured inside to stop it jumping out.

In Aus we saw a fair size dog (forgotten exactly what breed, but around Labrador size) on a BMW K100. The dog was just sitting on the petrol tank. At speed it hooked its nose under the bars to hold itself on.

All the best

Keith

In Devon a guy on a trike was trailering a dog around, they had matching helmets and goggles. It was pretty cool.

This is the way to do it:

'Kookie', as seen in "On Any Sunday" (which is a great watch if you haven't seen it.)

Modern version with extra 'safety':
