If they got your plate you'll be well fucked, failure to stop for the police, 75 in a 30 and if they realise you're 16 on L plates on a 50cc then more fucked. You could always report the bike stolen now, you'll need to have a very very solid story of where you were at the time and why you didn't notice until now.

If they didn't get your plate then no real need to worry.

It is the only real way out of the possible charges for speeding and not stopping, if you're going to do it, do it sooner rather than later. If you can swap your lid and jacket with a friend so you don't look like the person they saw on your bike. The other thing you're going to need to do if dump the ped somewhere (easiest if you get a friend to "find it" and report it as a dumped bike to them. Of course if you do get found out then you're very fucked so you need to be able to have a good cover story, and don't dump the bike in view of CCTV, so its just in some random car park or somewhere similar. Of course I am not even suggesting that you should be considering doing such a thing in your situation. Razz Razz

I went to schools in sevenoaks for 10 years, and the only really steep 30 limits I can think of are the high street, and the road down from gracious lane bridge that goes past brittens lane and kippinton road.

Doing 70 on either of them is rather silly.

If you want a laugh, go down the hill at the top of town to the dual carriagway flat out. Its all steep and windy, 40 limit then NSL.

If it was a traffic car then it will have a camera, if this is the case, then you are fucked in a fairly major, loss of licence, heavy fine, kind of a way. I belive the maximum for doing that is a prison sentance, but I doubt that would happen..

Was it a big estate car, or a small Astra or something? If the latter, then it was just a beat bobby car so you are probably OK.

Note that as soon as he started to chase you he would have said over the radio something like "Failure to stop Y123 ABC", then they clearly have a record of the registration plate.

Bend over. Razz

If they did get his plate wouldn't they just do a PNC check and go round his house?

More likely to be a traffic car than an area general police car, so more likely to have your plate than an area car without video.

Yes - eventually. It depends on how busy they are, staffing levels, etc. Although that's a fairly obvious infringement of the speed limit, there are higher crime priorities. (although it doesnt always seem like it in these traffic-hating days)

The evil cynic in me is muttering that it also depends on whether the alleged incident ever happened.....

If you break the speed limit twice over and get fucked, sorry but you deserve it.

I'd expect if they've got his plate then it can be done at any time soon and not a high priority of things to do as if they leave it a week or two it's not really going to make any difference.

Don't dump your bike, don't report it stolen, that really would be stupid. If, as you say, you were far enough away from him that he never saw you nip into a back street, then chances are you were far enough away that he wouldn't be able to read your number (that only applies if we are talking real life police, if it was robo-cop, then you really are fukt!).
If he did get your number then you'll get done, nothing you can do about it so don't worry about it, you'll get a fine, points, perhaps a ban, but it wont last forever, just one of lifes little lessons that has happened to thousands before you & no way will you be the last.

If you get away with it, enjoy the buzz.
