I strongly believe in continual learning and every day we should learn a new skill or fact. Please post your new knowledge here. Let me start.
Siraj is Punjabi for the sun.
Teaching IT to a student with cerebral palsy is as hard as f**k but made me cry when she thanked me at the end of our lesson.
What have you learned today?

How to reduce wasting laminate flooring by cutting too much!

How to make someone unhappy, by making another happy, al though this isn't really new!

Ariel, I like you and I don't know why. You're just likeable.

He is likeable isnt he Laughing
Today, may not seem much to most people..
But where I work, I see people failing - end of life stuff.
Someone who, I liked, got on with (altho he was mentally ill) -
Never spoke, just gave signs, nice person - Died on shift.
Without reason/notice.
Today I did learn - Love all around you, regardless of friends, Loved ones, or the people you get to know at work.

Never bitch about your car, they can hear Sad

I mentioned earlier my car was being a pain in the arse at the moment with a weird idle problem.
2 minutes later I pull into my street, steering is heavy, weird
Pull onto drive, check steering, look up, steam pissing all out the bonnet, look at temp gauge, still normal, shit turn it off, open bonnet thinking split hose or radiator, no bloody stupid plastic flange on the top hose has assploded.

That soldering to tiny tiny sections on a motherboard is tricky and hurts your back and after 3 hours of pissing around have decided to undo all my work and start afresh on a new one..... I did learn a lot though, next one will be perfect Smile

I believe that day comes the first time you wake up, look out your window, see the snow and think 'bollocks, getting about's going to be a pain in the arse then'.

As bikers we get this much earlier Wink

I've only been up half an hour so far, so today's lesson has not yet been learned. I'm hoping to get audio to midi conversion up and running in some form though.

I watched a film last night entitled ''Stockholm Syndrome.'' It was rubbish at first but towards the end I quite liked it.

At least Microsoft's are documented pieces of over-engineered.. etc. Razz you should try interfacing with Infoworks COM interface - now there's an adventure.

Today I learned that if you loan your socket set to your housemate, expecting him to take the same care with them you do and put them back in the right places in their container, you will be sadly disappointed.
