Ugh. Got told some news by some mutual friends of an ex that she is preggers. And that the kid could be mine. Bearing in mind she was on the pill at the time, and friends told me she was deliberately missing the pill out now and then (bloody mates neglected to tell me though Evil or Very Mad ). We were together barely a month. And it seems to me she was just wanting a kid out of it.

Where do I stand, If I'm put down as the father do I have some sort of choice, or will I have to face maintenance?
The girl in question is a complete nutter. So you knows.

Any help would be appreciated at this time. Thanks.

The circumstances of the pregnancy don't matter. Baring if it was a sperm donation via a sperm bank. If she steals your jizz out of a non spermicide condom you still have to pay. If she keeps it in her gob goes to the bathroom and backfills, you still have to pay. If you store your jizz and she forges your signature and consent YOU STILL HAVE TO PAY

If she 'forgets' (yeah right) to take the pill you still have to pay.

Simply the moment it is born have a paternity test.

If the paternity test says its yours then its maintenance payments time for a VERY long time.

The wail covered it recently https://tinyurl.com/bm939aw

Sadly, it largely comes down to what name the bitch-whore[1] puts in the "father" box on the birth certificate. Essentially as far as the CSA are concerned, this creates a balance-of-probability "fact" to be refuted, i.e. with a DNA test, and they will garnish your assets or income until you've shifted the balance to the contrary.

However, the scamming cockholster slut harpy[1] can stall on co-operating indefinitely, citing the rights of the bastard carpet monkey.

Your best bet is to persuade her to put some other wealthier victim's name on the birth certificate. I believe the Prince Harry puts it about a bit, she should go with that and see if the CSA show a bit of consistency in taking the unsupported testimony of slack knickered cum-dumpsters[1].

[1] As the fortunately failed victim of a "fingernail through the condom" trap, these are the most polite terms which I can bring myself to use.

It's unfortunate. At the moment I'm not on speaking terms. But basically she is with her original parter (before me) and she said to one friend it might be the old bf's kid, I bloody hope so.... But I doubt it. she might put his name down?

unfortunately i dont really earn much. Probs 135 a week. So will get raped by cash no doubt.

ill just have to wait 6 months and see what happens.

Maybe ill pay someone to push her down some stairs.

EFA. If it bothers you, then I would suggest taking prophylactic legal advice.

Putting your name on the birth certificate only denotes the legal parental responsibilities you'll have - as in things like being able to have a say in changing the child's name, which school they go to, whether they can leave the country, who their doctor should be, whether they should receive medical treatments etc. It isn't really connected to maintenance payments, if they are claimed for.

Case in point - my wife has had 2 kids with her ex partner before we met. He avoided getting his name on the birth certificate and has always contested paternity - we know damn well he's the father (he is a moron and a liar - you'd not believe the stuff he's done but that's for another thread another day, a nasty human being all around and isn't allowed any contact with her or the kids by court order) and he still has to pay child support (because he will not willing give anything to support the children he brought into this world), unless the kids are proven not to be his. My wife has always said she'd consent to a DNA test but he bottles out at the last moment each time... By not putting himself on their birth certificates, he's foregone any legal rights he may have had with them, unless a court grants them to him.

Unless your ex claiming income support (which automatically means a child support claim is initiated against the father), the CSA won't normally get involved - unless she wants them to. You can come to some sort of mutual agreement or let the CSA handle it - I think it's something like 10% of whatever your income is but don't quote me on it, I haven't looked at the details for a couple of years now. It also depends on whether you stay overnight with the child and how many days a week you do that.

You also have some moral wrestling to do with yourself if the kid is yours as to how you're involved with his/her life (like it or not, you might be about to become a daddy)...

But yeah, in this case, I'd get a DNA test done to remove any doubt and then take it from there. At this stage, there's still a chance it's nothing to do with you. Thumbs Up

IIRC (twas a long time ago since I registered my kids Sad ) if the parents of the child are not married the father of the child has to be present at the registry office and give his consent before his name can go on the birth certificate.

If it's a boy don't give him a girls name. It can lead to violence in a pub many years later, although you may be able to talk your way out of it. Best call him Bill or George.

I think this is one of the few occasion'a where it will be better to keep you mouth shut and keep out of the way.
If she is back with a a previous partner. Odd's on she will be telling him its his as she will not want to rock the boat.

TBH this is almost as bad as her conning him into being a sperm donor unwillingly. As he'll be raising AND paying for a child which isn't his. Why should he do this? If the old BF has any smarts the moment it is born paternity test, which is the way it should be.

IIRC up to 25% of fathers are raising children that aren't theirs.

Ranged from 4%-30% if you look at the studies the median is 26.6%

But... 'Experts have generally agreed that the rate is below 10%, with a 4% rate meaning that about one in 25 could be affected.'

Sadly some low lifves abuse this 'power'.

But the defence is always, a condom if you not prepared to deal with the out-come.

I think in this situation you are within rights to not pay a penny until it is proven yours.

Birth certificate is just a document of fact. The correct names should always be there regardless of the situation.. IMHO.

Except condoms have a fairly high failure rate, and thats IF used perfectly, and not stored in a wallet, fumbled on, torn or if she does that trick where she puts it on with her mouth. And you remember to change them every 15 minutes.

Anal and oral Very Happy avoids such things Very Happy

Or for going on the village bicycle quadruple bagging it Confused

Its more like 30% failure rate than 2% failure rate. Hence the only real way to be sure is to have a proper monogamous relationship who you know who is clean and that you can trust. Rather than sleeping around with anybody who puts out at a whim. TBH I wouldn't jump with a canopy with a 30% failure rate (*COUGH PD170 COUGH*).

.... did I just say that?

Childless Mid 30,s to early 40,s professional women seems to be the case theses days rather than disadvantaged young slags looking for a golden ticket.
