Want for Christmas?

Karma To anyone who can guess what bike it is.

On topic. Trying to save up a pot I can fall back on should anything go wrong (probably with the bike). Had to get tyres last year which done my budget over.

So how about it BCF, what's on your list?

Tbh the fact that they wrapped around the bikes lines kinda give it away. It's like vinyl wrapping a fiat 500 in plain black vinyl and asking what car it is. Laughing

As for xmas, I dont have a list.

I get 90% of what I need myself throughout the year; I've always been independent like that so I don't ask for anything.

I use the time to spend with family, in the last 6 months a lot of stuff has changed for me so I tend to be quite picky about devoting time to the nearest and dearest.

Edit; scratch that.. think il be hinting at something a bit 'old man' this year Laughing

I'd like people to stop celebrating this ridiculous christian fallacy. That's all.

Although I've bought the wife stuff, I know which side my bread's buttered.

To avoid as much of the usual, associated, shenanigans as humanly possible.
My only wish is that it's a pleasant day, weatherwise, so I can GTFO on my bike and avoid all the bollox that goes with it. Brick Wall

Or either a) some snow.
Or b) no snow at all, so I can go for a decent drive on relatively empty country roads.

No snow hopefully. I'll try and get out in the car/on the bike/ on the MTB for most of the day I feel.

It's all about the presents, and has been for a long time. No kid thinks about jesus on christmas day. I agree that they should remove all religious association from this holiday though.

One of these. It'd probably start gathering dust after the first few projects, but at that price, it has to be worth a punt.
Also, I have replacement stepper motors already, and can probably hack together better control software for it, so relative shitness isn't a concern.

Heh. I'd be vaguely tempted to try building an arduino-based controller for it, just for shits and giggles.

Just some time with the family, maybe a few drinkies, generally chill out.

Having said that, the OH has said that she'll get me some new bike kit for the winter etc. Already had a pair of winter gloves, and she's also mentioned about a textile jacket, and/or some bike boots... Thumbs Up

My Dad harrasses me about what I want for Xmas, he won't ever just give me vouchers or cash. Rolling Eyes Which means I have to think about stuff for him to buy me (and send him exact pictures via email). And to top it off I will have to drive over there to collect them (because he is too tight to drive here or post them), plus I don't know why he bothers wrapping them up either, as it's never a surprise gift... Rolling Eyes

Thinking how much?, you say on par but infer not pricely...

I'm not paying for (or requesting purchase of) a £150 chair when a £20 one is about usable. Karma

Nothing really. was just going to get them to put the money towards a tool box for the van, but with everything that's going on atm regarding my licence i don't see the point.
Keep getting pestered to death about it. Can't people just understand xmas is a load of commercial bull shit and i don't want anything. Really getting tired of being asked by mother everyday, grandma when i see her. Think i'm finally drilling it into my ex's head (even though we've split up she still determined to get me a present). None of them like the idea of buying me anything bike related... wonder wwhy? Laughing Or the idea of paying for a tattoo or two.

its £165
I have 3 office chairs I use depending on where I am
£20 ones fall apart after a week ones at £60 - 80 are Ok but eventually the padding goes and they become uncomfortable or the hydraulics go
my last chair cost £80 decent build and comfort, lasted about a year
but considering I can be in it 14 hrs a day on average thats pretty heavy usage

the paddock seats have memory foam which should last longer than the standers foam padding

I dont have an extended family that I speak to thankfully. My mum knows better than to be me crap I dont want so just gets me a hamper each year. The missus usually just makes something for me (shes an ace crafter, and makes damn good gloves and scarves). This year shes making me a ninja mask thing for when im riding to work. Looks dumb snug to me.

Ill prolly get her a couple of books or a deviant art subscription. We wont ever spend more than £50 on each other at crimbo, but try to give more meaningful presents.

The flip side of that is, I buy her stuff throughout the year when I see something she might like. I don't need to be told to have a commercial event of a day to buy someone something nice.
