Plenty of mini DV cams on ebay for cheapness.

For £80 they're not going to be amazing. Go Pro Hero HD is damn good, but double your budget.

Been using a DogCam BulletHD for the last 6 months or so....
Easy to use, right around your budget, great quality for the price, and excellent customer service

[edit] ...uses removeable SD memory card, integrated rechargeable battery, used for commuting, pleasure rides and as a safety camera.
Saves videos as .mov clips, and also uses the optional feature of displaying the date and time in the corner of the video footage.

Short trips, long trips.

Just commuting as a cover incase of accident, or film to upload to utube?

Do you want to save clips or let cam overite as it goes.

The more info you give the better the advse can be.

A lot of cams can't be powered while riding.

Just riding around for pleasure, short trips to save on the computer, upload to YouTube, maybe with a removable memory card.

I got one of these - but haven't tried it yet due to the weather.

Unlike a lot of other 'identical' cameras, this one uses the Sunplus chipset, same as the #3 keychain cameras, it was £9.99 (that's what I paid last week), just notice it's gone up to £14.99 unfortunately. I have it velcro'd into the inside-right of my helmet, looking through the visor. Records for 45 mins to an hour before the battery dies which is just enough for my commute. Quality is very good for the price, not HD (it's 720x480 - stretched 640x480) but sharp and you can read number plates etc.
