Hi all, my insurance ends today (01.12.2011), is there any problem if I only renew it next week?? Will not ride until then anyway.

most companies will auto renew it unless you tell them otherwise

Hmmm!! Will call them tomorrow then not to renew!

Meanwhile, checked with askMId and my bike is now showing uninsured. So at least for now they didn't renew it.

Technically it's (now) an offence to have it uninsured and not on SORN, but the DVLA seem to give at least a month's leeway before even sending out the first reminder, so you're fine.

What did the renewal letter/email say about renewing ?

A lot more companies are not auto renewing....


So I expect to start seeing a lot of complaints from people saying they got pulled for no insurance Rolling Eyes
