Oh I'm not worried about the test really, I know I just gotta be more careful if the roads are shit, but it's other people like my mum who are worried about me getting there and back Smile

I figured as much that they would refund or rearrange the test if it is cancelled due to weather, but I still have to get there on time if it isn't, so a journey that should take an hour is more likely gonna take 1½ or even 2 hours now, not sure what time to set off at all now, Gotta be there for 1125 and "Google Maps" estimates around 56 minutes to get there, avoiding motorways. ofc that will be NSL all the time apart from through the towns which it wont be accommodating for traffic.

Why not set off at about 0900, if you can? This will:

- miss the worst of the rush hour traffic
- allow you to get there in bags of time
- give you time to go to a cafe and get a cup of tea, and warm up a bit before the test.

Make sure you wrap up warm and waterproof though as you want to be as comfy as possible on your test (therefore focusing on the test and not your wet crotch, etc.).

Of course if it's snow/ice forecast then really consider whether it's worth risking the journey at all.

Good luck if you do go for it Thumbs Up

Yeah I was thinking about setting off 2 hours early just to make sure... Even if I do end up turning up an hour early, I can stretch my legs and chill out for a bit if needs be Razz

all my gear is water resistant at the least. and has taken quite a soaking before and still bone dry underneath, so I'm ok for that Smile

Unless its absolutely caked outside, I'll be going, Cus the weather is weird as hell, it could be snowing here, and 5 mins down the road, sunny.... Razz

Yeah I know they wouldn't but Carlisle is an hours drive away, the weather could be totally different 5 miles away never mind 25 miles away Smile

Got my mod2 cancelled today because of a minor amount of frost and ice, they called me about half an hour before the test thankfully I'am only 5 minutes away so it wasn't too much of an issue

Didn't even get chance to do the test Sad

Had a few "bald" spots on the rear tyre where the tread was just under 1mm so he said I couldn't do the test

So that cost me £80 for a new bloody tyre Razz

Re-booked for the 9th lol Smile

Hah, it's a pass. Clipboard Man was probably just in a sulk because he was getting rained on.

You could keep checking back every day and see if you can get a cancellation. I got a next-day Mod 2 booking after passing Mod 1.

Either way, I still owned it, he was just being pissy, the only thing I definetly got a mark for was doing 46kph instead of 50kph thru the speed trap on the e stop at first.

Done the Avoidance at 49kph it seems, so maybe he gave me a point for that... and just let it pass cus he never made me do that a second time

I had a look the next earliest date is the 26th, 2 weeks on Thursday
Every test seems to be a Thursday for Mod 2 in Dumfries.. O.o

Not sure if it'll likely get a cancellation like ... The guy who had his mod 1 at 8:20 never turned up thou... The test guy did give him the full 40 mins extra leeway waiting thou
