Is it normally the case that Mod 1 and Mod 2 are cancelled in the event of inclement weather... I am wondering if I should cancel my time line for going for both until the spring? That said I intend to be riding all year round anyway.
I had made the assumption that something like an emergency stop on ice was like an ordinary emergency stop only with a much longer stopping distance due to the climate/conditions?

If there's a chance of fog, ice, snow or gales then tests are cancelled.

Don't wimp out now.

I'd hazard a guess that Mod 1 is more likely to get cancelled, since there's very little leeway in the 50kph tests and spackers gonna spack.

Mod 2, well, you've already shown a minimum standard of riding, so I think it's more down to whether the examiner can be bothered showing up. I rode to mine through a fair-to-middling blizzard, arrived covered in snow and then got followed in a car for the test. At that point I think it was essentially a formality. Very Happy
