Yep Thumbs Up
I got a K7 and took a while to get used to the power over my 600.. top speed on a straight is insane, even 4th to 5th the front can get a little light and twitchy Razz

When I bought my K2 1000, the bike I'd been riding for the previous two months had 7BHP.

7BHP?! What were you riding, a lawn mower?

C70 with a 110 lump in it.

The C70 stayed, the Gsxr not so much.

Although not the best time of the year to get enjoyment out of riding it, you certainly bought it at the right time as winter prices are in full effect Thumbs Up

What 600? I never felt the bigger bikes were really 'faster' than a sports 600; but that they were just as fast for a fair bit longer.

This left me disappointed and sad.

And yes, I've often swapped between riding a K6 GSXR1000 and a stock c90 with off-road tyres.

Really G?

I thought the difference in power/speed was pretty significant going from riding a ZX6R B1H for 4 months to my ZX10R. I even took the B1H out a few months ago and it felt very slow in comparison.

Yea, I did tend to make 'full use' of a 600. Up until 70mph or so (first gear) they should be the same - speed is limited by the front wheel coming up. As gears go up the, difference between the two becomes more noticeable; the big bike keeps the same acceleration up for longer.

i had the 600 at the track few weeks ago (first time in months).. felt really slow down the straight compared to the K7...and i mean really slow Neutral other than that, don't gain much time anywhere else....if anything you can be faster on the 600 as its not as intimidating..

But fuck, mental buzz wringing the k7 down the straight, throttle pinned in 5th and the power is just still coming before i have to start braking for the first turn..... would be totally insane if there was longer straight Shocked

I've generally found I'm only a little behind litre bikes at the end of the straight - partly because I'm often braver on the throttle on the smaller bike coming out of the corner.
I've seen a CBR600RR win a powerbike race at Cadwell - so it seems the same does in some cases apply at higher levels, though not generally to that degree of course.

And yes, sad that Snetterton's back straight is now a bit shorter and I think has a slower entry. On my K6 I was just hitting 180 on the clocks when my riding was particularly off, even for my current level (had a nasty cold/flu thing.)

Would depend on riders ability and balls.

I don't really have to much balls when it comes to all out riding, and often get toyed with by 400s and 600s Laughing
