Is the Repsol colour scheme considered 'Race Colours' ? Looking at a CBR400 - and find that if I select 'Race Colours' as a mod, it pushes my insurance up by 3x the amount without them and only one or two insurance providers will touch it.

Is there anyway around this?

Cheers

Anthony

Get a CBR400 without the repsol colours? Wink LOL. No but seriously, I do believe that it is racing colours, therefore no way around it. Don't quote me on that but the same thing happened to me when I was looking for my first bike... (although it was a CBR125 with Repsol colours).

Its not a mod if it came standard like that.

If its not a standard CBR then get it sprayed to whatever colour it says on the logbook.

if on the logbook it says orange.. then repsol colours should be considered standard. You wouldn't know the difference would you Wink

When I had my CBR4 It said on the V5 that it was "multi-coloured"

I'd say this counted Laughing

More attractive to thieves? Owner considers themselves to be like a Moto GP rider and more likely to ride quickly? Just another excuse to shaft the honest consumer?

(Possibly) more likely to get nicked, (probably) more expensive to repair. I'm as anti-insurer as the next chap, but this does look like a material fact that should be disclosed.
