Anybody bought any new gloves recently for the winter? I'm after a pair myself to replace my spada enforcers which I've been quite happy with, was going to get another pair but thought I'd ask first if theres anything recomended which is warm / waterproof and not to bulky that are new out before parting with my cash. Not keen on the claw 3 fingered style really.

Don't buy Frank Thomas Aqua Pore.

Heap of shit!! with regards keeping hands toasty.
Kangaroo leather, (which IS really nice) but they do not keep out the cold.

They keep out the wet but they are definitely not that warm.

Pretty disappointed in that pair actually as I paid about £50-60 squids for em and they looked like they would do the job.

Anyway, with them crossed off your list you only have about 999 pairs left to choose from Wink

Recently bought some Richa Neon Waterproof gloves, mainly for commuting etc and can say that they've had a genuine waterproof-ness test this afternoon & evening
About 10-15 miles commuting / suburban riding in absolutely torrential rain, and my hands are still warm and toasty.

They don't have a great deal of impact protection, and they may not be thick enough for motorway speeds during winter temperatures, but they're very tactile, and relatively thin to be able to feel the controls, so I'm more than happy with them for city riding and commuting Thumbs Up

Just bought myself a pair of alpinestars 365 gore tex for £129 just now. I needed replacements for my venerable Tech Roads which I've abused over 3 winters and 20k miles. So far, it's been very windproof even at motorway speeds at 2degC. I like it because it offers the feedback I desire from a glove. I hate thick, fleece lined gloves, which I found the new Tech Roads were. The 365 combines the weatherproofing of the OLD tech roads, with the comfort and feedback of the gp pros. Pricey but I love my GP pros and I love my tech roads.

i'm on my fourth set of alpinestars jet road goretex, well, haven't quite retired the third pair yet and got the fourth pair off ebay for £36, not bad for a glove with an £130 price tag, and used them every autumn/winter for the last 12 years

If you are happy with the spada enforcers (I have the same gloves but I'm not that big a fan) then you may as well just buy some more:

£35, can't really go wrong.

Yes I've just bought 3 pairs.

Hein Gericke Procton Glove, black £42.99

Hein Gericke Tour LT Leather GORE-TEX® X-TRAFIT™Glove, red-black £79.99

Alpinestars Jet Road Gore-Tex Glove Price varies, paid £79.99 delivered.

Proctons are just plain black leather. The Tour LT's are lightweight GoreTex and the Jet Roads are extreme cold GoreTex.

My Spada Enforcers are leaking after only 16 months. How long did yours last for?

I found a review online that slated them but I can't see what they're talking about. Confused

They probably didn't give a big enough wad of cash to the reviewers.

I tend to consider magazine/website reviews as an advert paid for by the manufacturers being "reviewed". For example, my weise dynastar II textiles won a Ride review despite being a pile of shit that fall apart and leak like a sieve.
