Been looking for a trail bike for few months now and finally found a Suzuki dr200 - bout all I could find within my budget. But it's only for winter and some trail fun. I'm almost certain I'll get hooked though as I've always been into off road.

I'm looking to adjust the ride height as I'm pretty tall, 6ft ish. It doesnt use the standard tie rods sports bikes use.

Any idea on how to increase the ride?

When you trail ride you ideally need to do most of it standing up as this lowers your centre of gravity making the bike easier to control. Before you go fiddling with the height of the seat, make sure that when you stand on the pegs you aren't hunched over. Raising the height of the bars with risers would be the first thing that I would do.

Besides, the seats on enduro/trail bikes are like planks of wood! The less time you spend sitting down the better!

Agreed about the height of the handlebars.I use risers on my XR400R and KTM450.They are now much better suited to taller people. But the seat on the XR is much better than the one on the KTM anyday.

As for the DR200.Although they were an official UK import they did not sell that well.Quite a few parts are interchangeable with the DR125,but a taller seat would be a worthwhile modification for taller riders. But a DR350 would be a better bike in my opinion.
