Going to work after being home for lunch yesterday.
Just ambling along at 35-ish.
BMW Wanker looks left, right. Sees that he has a good view across the (his right) junction and nothing coming.
"Ahh, fukin awesome" he thinks
Looks to his left, through the park railings. Can't see me, obviously as his 1/10 of a sec glance is all he needs as he's awesome, remember!!
I'm not as wide as the car he's looking for or as visable, even though I have a real good headlight thing happening!
"Ahh, awesome again" he thinks, "I can do this right turn in one".
Out he comes at 30+ mph
I just shit my self and hit the Anchors and pull over to the left as much as I can.
Luckily for me, for some reason he looks to his left just after he crosses the center line and I am saved.
My obs were top notch though, thankfully.
If he hadn't seen me at the last second and just carried on and made the turn I **think** I would of just squeezed past his near side.
I saw him hammering it, I was already braking and heading to a foot out from the kerb but fuk me, what is it with me and Beamers???
I was kinda pumped though.
Like I said,
BMW Wankers!!!
This one was a right Dick and he hung back and let 2 car's out at the next junction to increase the gap between us, guilt no doubt
Sorry, I frekin hate em, with a passion!!

Apologies again gents, hate to rant, but it's like they just want to hurt me and this isn't the only example. ____________________ My Lane Position is always AWESOME!! |

Sat up her arse doing 5mph or so with the throttle bouncing off the limiter crawling with the clutch... she went spastic. |

its a maddening feeling when it happens, you just have to remember that not everyone drives by biker standards, i find at least 40% of drivers just really arent switched on at all, either that or they are too lazy / stupid to check mirrors, look over shoulder, indicate, look far enough ahead, ... the list goes on.
I read somewhere that car drivers are the most inconsiderate road users, although with the amount of tests to pass now i would hope thats being addressed.
just ride and observe the best YOU can and look out for those that are 'out to get you' whether they know it or not!!
ps. great diagram, lets hope you dont get too much practice at drawing those!! ____________________ --Current Bike: '98 Hornet CB600F

I feel your pain! For the typical Beamer driver the road is their oyster and ONLY theirs. It's even more frustrating when you're wearing a high vis jacket with a white lid and an ORANGE bike and they still can't see you..... ____________________ Suzuki GS 500 F

Glad you are safe..
(....Nice rant btw.. )
Most car drivers are switched off because they know most accidents for them are likely to end up as a dented wing or panels damaged for them at worst
but for us those little spills can mean a broken bike, long term disability or even (gulp) death.
That's why we are (usually) so switched on all the time.
we are like the gazelles of the urban Jungle, fast and fleet of foot (or rubber),
but around every corner lurks hidden dangers....
and at this time of year most drivers thoughts are more about christmas and stuff to do, not 'is it really safe to pull out' ?

Tell me about it I had a similar experience whilst out in my BMW the other day.
I was happily waiting to turn right, I looked and saw nothing coming, I checked again, and checked again I proceeded to pull out, when I had entered the road I had noticed some knob on a bike decidd he could use the road at the same time as me! I mean it is disgusting do they not teach new riders or drivers that a BMW has right of way at all times?
Really I should have knocked him off his bike for inconveniencing me, instead I chose just to scare him and force him into the kerb.
Honestly really annoyed that he this new rider thought he had more right to the road than I did, here is a diagram ____________________ Stinkwheel: You have no right to free speech
