As you may know, I have been trying to get into trail riding and just recently managed to get a suitable bike. I went out a couple of weeks ago but the tryes I had were shite so I changed them for some Michelin AC10 and boy what a difference.

Anyways, I met up with ThunderPT and found some nice trails to ride and it was great fun. I can see this becoming rather addictive!!

Did I capture any of it on camera? You bet I did. Smile

Excellent choice of bike.

A friend bought himself a DR350 and quite quickly found that he needed the electric starter whenever he stalled it.So on some advice he bought himself a DRZ400E.

I rode the Hampshire lanes back in 1987 with the Southern TRF group, and what a weekend that was, even though it was only on a small Honda XL185SA.I will see if I can find some pics of me on Butser Hill that I have somewhere.

Yeah, I know what you mean about the starter. As long as I can get a good purchase on the kicker, I'm usually ok. Its when I cant stand the bike up and get on top of the bike that I suffer as I am a short fat fooker. lol

I am learning to start it standing to the side of the bike (without the side stand using my right foot and kicing it backwards. When it works its great but when it don't I'm knackered after a few kicks. Once I've mastered it i'll post up a vid of what I mean Smile

Best thing to do is join the trf and got to the local meet. Lots of valuable information available there.

The route we took resembled this although we couldn't find a couple of the trails.
