Hello folks.
I was thinking about doing some advanced rider training (as soon as I get a bike sorted out) and was wondering if anyone had any views.

Is it worth it and does it make you a safer rider.
Ive also heard that it makes your insurance a bit cheaper, is that right?

My insurance company will only give discounts if the training course is provided by IAM or ROSPA, for more info have a quick look at www.iam.org.uk or www.rospa.org.uk.

I've not done either of these, but have heard nothing but positive feedback from friends who have attended. I'm due to start a Class 1 Police motorcyclist course within the next month, so will let you know how it goes.

Suggest you do a quick search of this forum as I remember this topic being raised before.

Also check out the bikesafe website for a scheme near you, although I think it's winding down this time of year. I think some areas were offering discount/membership of the IAM if you did the bikesafe first.
