Get up EARLY, so early its still dark. Get kitted up and wait for daylight, as soon as it is light get out there riding! you can get on a few hours riding on perfectly empty roads. stay out a bit longer to ride in later traffic. if you feel you need to repeat this a few times going out later and later, untill eventually you are riding in the middle of the morning rush hour Thumbs Up

Is there not a quiet trading estate or something similar near you?

It sounds silly but even if you had to push the bike there at least you could get some practice on fairly quiet roads.

Best of luck Smile

Do what the others have said, get up early when their's just enough light to see and go out on your bike.

Failing that I'm sure their's plenty of guys around the country who'd be willing to come and perv......I mean ride around with you. Razz

By the way bromley's a nice area to ride around but I think bexley is a bit quieter so you might want to try around there instead?

well the guys at a nearby building sight got more interested every time i rode around their way, one was out in the road when i met up with my friend and got in my way, so i wont be using that road too soon. at least my friend has helped me sort out my stalling problem, i'm feeling a lot more confident now, but not quite ready for the big busy roads (with traffics lights) i think one more day riding will be good work, definately working out my bike, its really comfortable (for me cos i'm short)

Have you passed your test or just got your cbt? if you passed your test proper you should be use to big roads, traffic lights, conditions and such like. Even if you only did your cbt then you should still be confident to handle these conditions if not then they shouldnt have issued it to you.

Yes im in bromley to!! Confused

Apologies if this sounds patronising, it really is NOT meant to! but . . .
. . . take a couple of older, more experienced riders, someone with the maturity to set a pace you can all follow comfortably. It's about practising your basic road skills, yes? So take someone sensible who can add years of their own experience for you to learn from. The name of the game, after all, is survival. Hope you have a great day Very Happy
