Just wanted to let out a bit of fraustration!

Did my CBT in Aug and got a 125 which I love (and hate). Managed about 400 miles on it between mid-Aug and end-Oct, but have had loads of mechanical problems Sad

It's currently off the road and refusing to start which is a pain in the bum- ended up with a new reg/rec and new battery, plus the husband has taken all kinds of bits apart to try to work out why it won't start.

Total pain in the arse as I really just want to be out on my bike. I was gaining confidence and really enjoying the riding (even in the cold and wind).

Going to have to decide what to do next... think I might need to call out a mechanic.... Anyone know a good, reliable motorbike mechanic in Berkshire area?! Sad

You may as well learn how to service the bike. It's invaluable to know! Smile

Pop on over to the workshop and explain your problem and the friendly weirdos over there will be better able to help.

Have you considered a trade in? What's the age, cosmetic condition, and has he been serviced regularly? My wife might consider lending me out, depending on what she gets in return.

I have asked a few qu's on there and unfortunately not much has come up Sad

Over the last few months we've checked the spark plugs, replaced the oil plus the above bits and bobs....... so we're definitely learning!

I'm not 100% sure I understand this!

It's a 1998, in reasonable condition (nothing special, but not an ex-driving school model with the scars to prove it), Originated from a hedge, and was done up by the chap I bought it from. Was MOT'd in August..... and someone attempted to hotwire it a few weeks later. AA man fixed the wiring..... don't know too much else about it except that it rode like a dream when it worked!
