Anyone used this?

https://www.buybits.com/Product/9288/Motorcycle-Waterproof-Usb-Panel-Mounted-Socket-With-Battery-Terminals-sku-9288.aspx

and

https://www.buybits.com/Product/10634/Waterproof-Usb-To-Microusb-Powerlink-Mount-Adapter-With-Coiled-Cable-sku-10634.aspx

Hoping to use it to keep my mobile charged up to use as a sat nav. I've already wired up some symtec grip heaters using the method on this site (connected to a switched live, geat guide by the way!). Could I just split these cables?

Thanks,

-Ifor

.
Hi Ifor

I have used similar, the ones that plug into a cigar lighter socket. USB will not charge as fast as a mains charger though.
Make sure the thing is fused or if something goes wrong you could fry your phone.
