I'm sitting in the garden having a smoke after doing my mod 2 today. Beautiful sunny day, dry roads but a bit windy and getting stronger. On the test, I had a very ragged ride which included going in a bus lane when it failed to occur to me that 1pm was actually between 7am and 7pm, then coming out when it did filter through that I shouldn't be in there. Stalled the bike on one of many poor moves away at lights. Horrible performance all round.
But it was good enough to pass! Relieved is not a big enough word.
Now to sort out insurance on the Versys, and I'll be off to somewhere quiet for a little practice on it for the first time as soon as the wind dies down.

Sounds like you were lucky to get a pass, but a pass is a pass.

Well done mate....lucky, but well done Laughing

I always thought that was a fail as it's one of those 'bigger' errors.

So it obviously just counted as a minor?

Well done, a pass is a pass is a pass!!! Wink

That was lucky, we've seen a few people fail on that. Good job on saving it though and screw it, a pass is a pass. Enjoy the Versys!

Just goes to show, if you think you have made a cock up and failed - keep calm and carry on - if the examiner thinks you rode safe he will use his descretion and pass you. You do seem to of had a sprinkling of luck though!

Either that, or this cold weather is having a strange effect on the ability of examiner's judgment of safe riding, and as a result, they are spotting fewer errors than they would during the summer Thinking
(I'm not trying to put Englishman down on his pass...i though i had failed on my test a couple of days ago, or at least got some minors, but got none)

Well done on the pass!

Definitely feels better to hear those words when you thought you were gonna fail Thumbs Up
