Don't you just love it when your town becomes gridlocked because of some random crap but you barely notice it as your skipping a 3 mile traffic jam on the way home.

Yes I maybe a little colder then you cagers but I will be home and enjoying my dinner before you see moving traffic again Smile

Makes me smile.

Some arsehole pulled right over onto the wrong side of the road to try to stop me going down the middle today. Pretty futile given there was nothing coming the other way so his one car in 2 lanes of road was never going to stop me Laughing

I pulled up alongside his window and motioned for him to wind it down but he just sat staring straight ahead Laughing I think he appreciated that it had not been a good idea as for all he knew I could be some nutter that decided to kick his door in. In fact all I was going to do was point out that a) it was perfectly legal and b) he was a prick.

I think some car drivers underestimate bikers. Not only was I wearing a nice leather vest with my rockers on the back that day, but I also have an extremely short temper and low tolerance to knobheads.

We over took a couple cars at a set of lights (As you do, because you're going to take off quicker, and simply because you can), so the twat behind me in the BMW thought he'd drive less than a metre from my back tyre. After motioning him to back off, and to no avail, the brakes were slammed on, the kick-stand went down, helmet came off, and he found himself in a situation that gave him only 2 options.

1. Reverse quickly and drive off.
2. Have your shiney grey beemer, and your face, smashed around with my helmet.

He chose the first option.

makes me laugh when cagers try to "pretend" not to see you coming down the middle and they slowly try to block your path! I just ride VERY close to their car as I pass.

I'm very thankful to people who move out of my way which to be fair is 85% of other road users. My little 125 is very light and I can work around most pricks who try to block my way.

I personally know two people who have come a hair's breadth from doing jail time for such road rage antics. One was advised by his brief that he was definately going down and it was a matter of how long for, but was damned lucky and got off on a technical foul-up. If you're comfortable with the prospect of slopping-out with Bubba - crack on!

Man, skipping traffic is fun. The traffic was totally gridlocked today up on the A13 at Hadleigh (such a stupid place for traffic light!), I pull out onto the right hand side and wave bye to the back of the queue. I was through the lights in seconds (well, possibly minutes, but a damn sight quicker than anyone else...) Very Happy

I don't usually get people block me intentionally (maybe once every couple of months that I notice), and my entire journeys filtering. But blow me its become a fashion recently. Either that or the lines between lanes are now fitted with car attracting magnets Neutral

Annoying as hell.

THOUGH!

*Bangs up great big Warped / (Dumbell?) story warning!*

Filtering towards the Hanger Lane roundabout a few nights ago. 3 lanes of solid barely moving traffic. I was filtering up between the Center and Right overtaking lanes. A guy pulled up to the dotted white lines and sat on them.

Fair do's I cant be arsed road raging. He creeped along it for a minute at 5mph tops. There was a que of bikes suddenly behind me. Roit... Not sure about the legalities of this, but went around the car between him and the central reservation. Looked in my mirror and saw the que of bikes had stopped around him and were having words through his window. Got to the lights, just missed a green, sat for a minute and the bikes caught up. I moved out of the way as the lights went green and realized it was 6 motorbike coppers. One of which had stopped the car that was blocking the filtering and had him out of the car and was having a chat with him.

Wonder if they were discussin blocking progress or driving without care and attention? Dunno.

Anywhos, thats my ramble done.

/Wapred mode off.

Just pull your clutch in and give it full revs next to their window - that usually gets their attention Smile

I've not ridden for a few years, and I'm finding that the cagers are way more aggressive towards me than I remember. Filter blockers seem to have multiplied as do vans that want to race me from lights? WTF is up with that? Rolling Eyes
On Tuesday I rolled round a corner behind a Micra on a single lane carriageway. Driver clocked me, and proceeded to drive at 15 mph periodically slamming on the anchors. Then he'd set off again, indicate to turn left/pull in and literally stop in the middle of the road. Rinse/repeat. I got annoyed and pinned it round him after a while of this but even then he drifted into the other lane forcing me further out... Thumbs Down

I was waiting at some lights in Southend town center the other day - I filtered through quite happily and sat in the green cycle box at the front of the lights (Which we are allowed to use, aren't we?) anyway, the road I was aiming for, which was straight on, was a dual carriageway, so the lights turn amber, I stick it in first and head off. The van driver behind me decides that he wants to undertake me and swerve back into the right hand lane of the dual carriageway without indicating, narrowly avoiding my front wheel...

Damn them. Doh!

Pompey was rammed yesterday morning due to 3 multiple car piles up within a small area..

My workmate (who lives down the road from me) left for work at quarter to eight in her car. I had to wait for my child minder (who was late due to the delays) and left at half nine on the bike.

We both arrived at quarter to ten...

I fucking love my bike.

Your dad's car has a kickstand?

Terrible parenting by the way...

lol, I read that post and thought blimey can't believe anywhere is worse than where I am at the moment - Brighton - checked your profile Laughing ffs Rolling Eyes it is shite isn't it. I have to drive in as I use my car for work. I am one of the drivers that ensures there's always a sufficient filtering gap for bikers while I am sitting in traffic Karma

I've mellowed a lot during the last few years. If a car is getting too close then I will happily slow down until they either overtake me or get the message that I won't be rushed and pull back.

About 4 weeks back when i picked up my Z 750 from the garage, casually pootling along the ring road at 60mph. overtake a guy in a saab and pull back into the left lane. Going round the roundabout he was tailing me at no more than a meter away. i sped up a bit but he followed. i slowed down and he didn't overtake.

Next roundabout - same thing.

Get to a set of lights and he's in the right of me swearing about how all bikers are idiots and deserve to be knocked off.

As lights go green, the black BMW behind him that i'd spotted had been following us was an undercover copper, who caught it all on video and heard what he was shouting!

Copper waited until the layby on the next stretch and pulled us both in, he spoke with me and said i'd done nothing wrong and asked me to tell him what happened. He then let me go, and kept the driver there, not sure what he said but i'm pretty sure there was at least 3 points and £60 involved

made my day

My antics might be considered road rage, but is it really? If somebody is playing with your life, I think you have every right to threaten theirs. It's not a game. Rolling Eyes

What do you think you're accomplishing by kicking off? You're just delaying yourself, which is essentially what the cager wants.

The best revenge is leaving them behind, and if you're going to veer to the wrong side of the law, a TS10 for riding through a red light is far better than a public order offence, or getting your balls kicked in when you finally take on a mental who's bigger than you.

Please disregard if it's one of these things:

Yes.

Once they're behind me they are a thing of the past + if they think they can keep up, its only a matter of seconds before they are stuck behind some other car and i'm gone Smile

TVR Tuscan lasted about 5 minutes, but he soon met the same fate.

I always filter to the front, even if its only 1 car.
