Hi Smile

Felt the need to share my indescribable joy for passing my accelerated access yesterday. After having thought a restricted licence would satisfy my bike lust, I realised I was wrong, and so booked myself for 'big bike' tests Smile

To all wannabe licence holders, if the law permits, do DAS as restricted is horrible!

Getting my ZX-6R de-restricted very soon (kinda scared but excited)!

Thank you Smile

Not that I intend on throwing it away, but why do you advise not to lose the A2 test pass certificate?

3 1/2 months... You're a trooper, I simply couldn't wait even a month!

Well, several reasons:

1) It's proof of when you first obtained your A license. After 2015, counterparts are being scrapped so you'll lose that record and your photocard will only show your Accelerated Access pass date, screwing you out of some license duration for insurance purposes.

2) In case the DVLA "lose" your entitlement, at any time when you've surrendered your license (unless of course you "lose" the current license instead Wink )

Fair point, but since the two licences are a month apart, I doubt there'll be much of a loss. Have sent new A license cert. to insurers with cover letter.

Thanks, Rogerborg; I look forward to benefitting from more of your knowledge Thumbs Up

Oh, right, a literal month. Nicely done!

Did you pass on a training school bike, on your own, uh... "35kW+" machine?
