I'd no idea these existed in this country although I know they have them in Thailand etc as a budget service.

But just today I saw a bike in a supermarket carpark in High Wycombe covered in passengerbikes.com signage.

Amazing, it seems that it is far from a low cost service, quite expensive in fact, and how many people use them in December ffs?

Still it makes you think.

Dunno if they're still running but Virgin had some taxi bikes running in London some time ago iirc.


A mate of mine (living in Brazil) uses a local taxi bike service as a budget transport facility but I'm convinced the London equivalent will be considerably more expensive ...

Been around London for a decade, easily.

They're not really aimed at 'cheap', they're aimed at 'need to get there and can't get stuck in traffic'.

If they do it on a pan or gold wing then I would love to book one next year, always wanted to ride pillion on one of them they look so comfy.

Just hire the bike mate. Should be around 100 quid per day.
