What are my options.

Keep topping it up till pay day?

stop riding it?(not best as work is some walk away)

Beg a good friend to lend me the money for some new ones?

How bad is it? A couple of psi every few days, I'd just top it up.

More that that I'd think twice.

Just keep a close check on it.

[edit] As mentioned, if it's fairly minor, just top it up.

I'm not sure noticed it today as I was arriving at the girlfriends it felt odd on the way there but got off and could push the tyre in so as I left I checked again no massive difference so Topped it up and road home it was fine but When I got home it had lost some air again.

Check the tyre for damage/punctures. You could have picked up a nail, lift the front of the bike and slowly rotate the tyre looking for anything abnormal.

A slow puncture isn't so bad so long as you keep a close eye on it. But a bike tyre isn't like a car tyre, for a start you've only got one at each end and it can detach from the rim with catastrophic consequences.

As they say,'proceed with caution'.

Have you found the source of the leak?

Stick some soapy water around the valve, if bubbles form it is leaking there and is a cheap and easy fix for a tyre shop. Also put soapy water around the rim, could be leaking there which is usually easy to sort.

Finally, soap up the rest of the tyre and see where it is coming from, could be something obvious that can be repaired. Tyre repairs usually cost £15 or so.

I've got a part worn racetec k2 I think. in a 120, or you can have a part worn dunlop qualifier 2... but its on my bike currently, happy to swap to racetec.

Both the tyres are great in the wet, also have a really worn 110/70/17 that will pass an MOT, but not last much longer Wink

Well my current one is pretty much bald and perished with cracks in, its just to get me through the next month or two until I can afford a set.

Can you get the qualifier off without much faff as it seems a bit more treaded and geared for winter? Laughing

Preferably a 70 but maybe a 60 profile. Whats the difference between 120 and 110, as in riding. What brand is the tyre and how much is postage likely to be? And how 'not much longer' are we talking? Laughing
