So, I currently have one of those cheap, universal, 40something litre top boxes from ebay for lugging stuff about and leaving some kit on the bike (can fit my helmet and jacket in it then carry around my boots in a bag)
but now I would like panniers after seeing this https://www.sportbikerider.us/index.cfm?P=ShowPicture&Picture_ID=465661
because when my girlfriend comes on the back for days out there's quite a bit of kit to carry around so would like some more storage space.

I've been searching all over the net and can only find the Hepco & Becker frame and boxes. The frame is £220 and 2 boxes are £300!

Does anybody know of a cheaper option? Thanks!

They look a bit like Krauser panniers in the picture. Not seen them for a few years.

Nonfango?
According to their website for the GPZ600 they make these side racks for them these ones:

KP15
S001-A
KS15
S001-A
A001-A
KP15
P007-A
KS15
P007-A

If you are lucky, like me I got the rack off ebay for £20, the U rails for £10, and the boxes for under a quid each. There are several on gum tree for £100 full sets.

Looking at the way they fit if you had a bit of scrap steel you could quite easily make their racks fit as mine bolt onto the pillion foot hangers to themselves under the um undertray and also to the grab rail.

Their older systems are made of unobtainium though. However if you email them they actually have quite a lot of their old stuff for sale. They are back in biz after going bust in 07.

Thanks for the replies,

I've been on the nonfango site and had a look at their cases etc.
I've also sent them an email so hopefully hear back soon!

This looks up your street.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/nonfango-TOP-BOXES-AND-PANNIERS-/270880592020?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item3f11bdd094

The universal rack in it ought to fit, and the other racks it comes with one of them should fit with some light bodging.

The mount points are under the footpegs and on the grab rail, the third mount point is to itself.

So me thinks all you need is a bar of steel to make the front bit fit on.

Thanks for that one!
Just receive an email from nonfango and they want 249 euros for the racks and rails etc. They also sent me fitting instructions and I think at most I'll need a couple small brackets to add to that eBay lot of nonfango bits for it to fit. However the buyer has listed it as collect only but I shall send him a message anyways
So it's either that or buy the 220quid hepco&becker rails and some secondhand boxes which I have seen go for 60-80 quid

I shall have to ponder...

Turns out they've made a comeback under the Hepco & Becker umbrella! The detachable pannier racks look pretty tasty, but I dread to think what the price is like.

New Development!

I have found these...
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HEPCO-BECKER-PANNIERS-JUNIOR30-LITRE-Moto-Guzzi-Nevada-mounting-frame-/260924009048?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item3cc0486a58

So I have decided if that these will work with this rack (someone please advise!)...
https://www.motorbikesandparts.co.uk/hepcobecker-black-complete-rack-kawasaki-gpz-600-r-p-10231.html
I will buy the rack then I will cover up the guzzi badge and use them if they go for a decent price. Sorted?
