Based on recent post's nomination has to be Hastings direct.

For me, I'd say NFU mutual. Had an incident a while ago and they (being the 3rd parties reps) just weren't interested in being involved, despite the guy not even having a rear number plate which was illegal. Wish I'd got pics...

Listed based on common dealings of consumer, not individual complaint, this means how they are listed gives an indication from a broad range of people how shit their standards are as a provider, no comments on specific cases in this post but feel free to add your dealing in a reply below to reflect how you dispise them and advise others. - Worst is 1st.

1) MCE
2) Hastings Direct
3) BikeSure
4) Swinton
5) Bennetts

Could of at least rang me up but no just cancel my policy and have me riding illegally for a week before notifying me by post again Rolling Eyes

Bikesure - for insisting on BCF that a renewal premium will be the same price as a new quote. The lying/misunderstanding of the rep annoyed me.

As for actual issues, I've never had to claim so I haven't been on the receiving end of any major incompetency just yet. I'm rather hoping that it will stay that way.

Bennets. Did not have to claim off them but all 3 people I spoke to when I changed from Bennets to Devits at renewal time were so damned downright obnoxious because they didn't believe I could get it cheaper at Devits.

MCE for becoming complete arses after taking over sponsorship of BSB. My theory is that they have more customers than they can comfortably deal with and they have not increased staffing levels, or training to cope.

I can't believe that they asked for more money than my MZ was worth to add it to my policy...

MCE.

Tried to transfer from 125cc (after test) to 600cc and they can't do it (fair enough) So, I try to cancel, sure I can but it cost me big time.

Upshot is, £182 policy, 2 months use and I get £49 back in 2 months from cancel date.

Robbing buncha parasites.

Wouldn't this be better as a Poll?

It'd be better if Steve just added the bad insurers to the OP so there's no need to scroll through the whole thread.

One or the other. Keep a tally of some sort so we can track them.

Oh crap!! thats who im currently with, whats you experience with them coz I havent had to deal with them?

As for the topic, gotta be hastings direct. However Bikesure made things extremely awkward for me based on how long I had my license and how long I was restricted to 33bhp. They blackmailed me into paying an extra £40. So hastings direct and bikesure are not on my 'to do business with" list anymore.

I planned to combine the two, have a ranked system of the worst offenders because there's gonna be too many to poll and just listing isn't saying who's worst of the worst.

would an overall rating system (say, 3/10) for each company from each poster work?

Bearing in mind as it stands, I'm comparing the worst in here as well as the ones from the better insurers thread to give an accurate overall list respectively.
