For those celebrating here in Cyprus, it will be the, ubiquitous, souvla.
For those not familiar with the term, that's large chunks of pork on a rotating spit over a BBQ.
To be honest that's all they ever have over here, Xmas, New Year, Easter, Birthdays, it's always the same.

Personally I shall be making and eating Cripsy Peking Duck and pancakes! Thumbs Up

Goose ftw.

Turkey is boring IMO. Tasteless white meat unless you get a bronze. Only reason a Turkey would be a good choice is if you need to feed 10 people or something.

Carp is very popular amongst the Poles and other Eastern Europeans.

We're having Beef, Gammon and Turkey.

The Gammon is currently soaking, then will be going in the slow cooker with cider, cloves and onion - this will cook for about 6 hours this evening.
In the early hours of the morning, the gammon will be coming out, the beef will be sealed in a hot pan and then that's going into the slow cooker (with onions, carrots, celery, garlic, red wine and some stock) and should cook for about 8 hours till lunchtime.
The Turkey will be going in the oven - it's only a tiddler so shouldn't take too long. Once that's done I'll probably glaze the gammon with honey and finish it off in the oven to crisp up the fat.
To accompany the feast - yorkshire puds, stuffing, roasties, roast parsnips, mashed carrot and swede, sprouts with lardons, red cabbage, broccoli, peas and loads of lovely gravy made from the beef juices.

Om nom fucking nom. I'm hungry already.

We normally have different things, depending on how I'm feeling when shopping. A few years back we had various meats including reindeer. Of course we didn't tell the kids they were eating Rudolph.

Don't remember fish being popular in Bulgaria. Mind you, I don't remember much about anything really.

Pork chops were definitely on the menu.

Turkeys came in the late 90's. Nowadays its pretty much the same as here really. Maybe excluding the cranberry sauce.

When I was in Romania carp was everywhere. Didn't fancy it myself.

Here in Berkshire we have a turducken, wrapped in bacon. + all the trimmings and many many pigs in blankets. Yum.

We don't eat something special on Christmas at home(maybe Christmas cake for kids only). Christmas Eve is not for family but for young couples thing here(something is wrong). They go out for good Italian or French restaurants.
(We eat special food at home on new year's holidays instead).

We had this today.

Christmas dinner in a pastry case. Turkey, tayters, carrots, peas, stuffing and cranberry sauce with gravy.

Was tasty scrummy in my tummy.
