Get the cases very hot and they will fall out. Have you priced the needle roller bearing before you pull it out? They can be quite expensive depending on size and how common they are. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

Bearing are £5 for FAG. So no problem with the oven. It is what I've used in the past, just wondered if there was another option.
Pat. Degrease first. The voice of experience is very loud and persistent when it reminds me of the amount of smoke that filled the kitchen last time. I find 150c is better. ____________________ https://www.metacafe.com/watch/1972097/how_to_behave_on_a_forum/ |

A tiny amount of oil will make an enormous amount of smoke. I would suggest thoroughly degreasing and then heating them (very carefully) on a gas barbeque or something similar. No way would I do it in a domestic over you'll fill the house with smoke and the stink will last forever.
I heated some casings over my portable gas fire to about 80 degrees and it took a good half an hour. I imagine an insulated box and a paint stripper gun would do a pretty good job.
I had a bearing go bad on an alloy wiresaw pulley out on site once, No way would it budge so I balanced the pulley over the exhaust of a large generator and the bearing fell out in a few minutes.
The might be removable by hydraulicing with heavy grease. You pack them full of grease right to the top, then get a close-fitting rod just in the hole and give it a good sharp thwack. The theory is that the grease cannot get out past the bearing quickly enough so the pressure pushes out the bearing. I've done it a few times and a few times have failed. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'

You can buy a second hand electric oven for as little as £20.
Pretty sure I've seen them free to uplift on gumtree.
If I told you there was a special pulling tool for £20 you'd have it eh?
Just remember you need to use heavy cable (2sq mm minimum) and plug it into the cooker socket in the kitchen, unless you have a 30A socket in your garage.
Heat doesn't always work. I had my C90 crankcase in an oven at 200 for two hours and one like that never moved. Landed up drilling a hole through from the back. Punching it out, then filling in the hole with aluminium solder. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen.
