Went to my local Tesco's today and set the alarm on my Hornet and didn't think anymore about until I was called over the tannoy. When I saw the security guard I was told that the alarm on my bike was bleeping with every single gust of wind that hit the bike.

The bike is fitted with a Datatool System 3 Alarm but I don't have any real idea on how to turn the sensitivity of the alarm down. If any can help I'd be grateful.

The datatool system 3 isnt actually adjustable for the sensitivity...

However the angle of the alarm effects sensivity

Had a system 3, so I know what you mean. A bird shit on my rear seat once as it flew over and the alarm went nuts Laughing

Supposedly only adjustable by a Datatool technician. No idea if there's a way to DIY. When I read the thread title I knew it would be the System 3! If it's a one off case you can disable the motion sensor.

I had a feeling that was the case but I thought I would ask just in case.

I had something similar but on the ferry to Spain. It just had to be turned off! Or even better remove it? Just my personal preference but ive removed alarms from 3 of my bikes that had them.

I've had to remove three Datatool alarms, from my Firestorm, The ZX6, and the Speed Triple, all with the same problem as yours.
Speed Triple was the worst, as it's factory fitted and needs a bridge for the multiplug, which neither Triumph or Datatool will sell you.
Pile of shite they are.

A combination of the two buttons sets the alarm in ferry mode.
This disables the motion sensor.

Maybe have a gander at the shocks on the bike as it takes quite substantial wind to trip the motion sensor.
Laughing

Speak to Datatool tech guys and see if they can help you. Normally well polite and helpful for any issues I had with Datatool systems.

Once it is armed, just push the left button (one long beep) to disarm motion sensing (often called 'ferry mode'). I've had the System 3 on my bike for 9 years and never had a problem.

I've mates who have had Datatool alarms, and never had any problems, the only three bikes I've had with Datatools on have all packed up.
If it weren't for bad luck, I wouldn't have any luck at all Very Happy
