Hi guys,

Heard a lot of my friends who are currently having driving lessons discussing how the theory test is changing in January.

Does this apply to motorcylce theory tests too, or are we staying on the same one?

Just wanting to know because I'm about to order some theory material from Amazon, and don't wanna spend money on something that'll be out of date and pointless!

Cheers Smile

Yes the theory test is changing, rogerborg (really acts like borg sometimes with that much knowledge).

The main change with the theory test is that they say the questions will not be released. Give it two weeks and the question will be on the internet though.

However none of this changes regarding the products on the learning Cd's or books. IF you don't need to worry about the questions just make sure you read the highway code, every question will be in there anyway.

EDIT:

Here is the thread where roger explains the theory changes
https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=235429

And Rogerborg's post explaining it

There will be new questions[1] and they won't be published.[2]

It's not really a big deal, if you're the kind of Rainman who can memorise all the questions verbatim but still have no idea what the answers mean, then you shouldn't be passing anyway. If you've got half the sense that you were born with, then it won't be a problem.

Hopefully they'll take the opportunity to remove the "What are the environmental benefits of this vehicle?" <Tram Sign> question. Rolling Eyes

[1] So they say.

[2] But expect every training school in the country to have them within the week anyway.

So I booked my theory test for the 4th (wish me luck BTW!)

Will it be the same or will it have changed by then?

Thanks
