My best non-biking day this year was attending my eldest daughters graduation ceremony at Chichester University.

But I have had several monumental biking days this year.It is difficult to say one day in particular as they have all been good.

What has been your best day worthy of note?

My best biking day was the day after bining my bike when the Xray showed nothing broken.

Nothing stands out...Not saying it was a poor year, lots of nice rides.

Some group rides i enjoyed..and i don't normally do the biker-gaggle thing. Revisited quite a few old roads, I used to know them like the back of my hand. Sparked some good memories.
Weather has been testing..Riding back from Lincoln, 2up and with camping kit took all my concentration to remain relaxed...stoopidly strong sidewinds...heavy mizzle...everyone on the motorway trying to kill us in new and varied ways..(In a pocket of hell that the Ducati could not escape). [/drama queen]

Ended the journey from hell on a positive note tho. I managed to record some Church Bells in full Peal for my friend who has become obsessed with Bell ringing music. This particular Bell has a crack in it and sounds offkey. ...Ohh you just had to be there...Very Subversive Stuff.

I think the best biking day was the May Day outing the SE section done. Met up at Rykas and rode through the sticks down to Hastings. Must have covered a good couple of hundred miles that day there and back.

Lost a couple of people, lost ourselves once too but were soon rounded up again.

Best biking day - a day out in the Highlands in May. Dry and sunny, but not too hot, gixer thou to play with, roads that I sort-of know with hills and corners a plenty. Chasing a local in an M3 from Kyle to Invermorriston was a particular highlight, the sort of ride where afterwards you contemplate quite how much of an idiot you just were. Laughing

Best non-biking day was only a few weeks ago. I got to play in a full-motion 737 flight simulator. Realism? When you come out of the box shaking like a leaf cos your Captain has decided to plonk you in cat 3 weather, at night, and make you land at Heathrow (and your brain is so occupied with achieving this that it doesn't have the capacity left to remember it isn't real and you don't actually know how to fly an airliner) - it was a buzz that exceeded anything I've done in years. Cool

Best non-bike related day(s) was just after I'd been made redundant, and I threw some stuff in the boot of my car and set off for an unknown quantity of time...ended up at Dungeness Beach, and explored the entire area right down to Camber Sands, Rye and along to Hastings, chatted to random locals, took loads of photos, and generally chilled out in the searing hot sun (in April!!!)

Best bike related day was when I went to Fareham to stay with my mate and I rode pillion with her and we met up with another couple of female bikers and we hooned around Hants/Wiltshire for the entire day...taking in some amazing scenery and stopping for lunch at some little cafe some place. It was unplanned and random and very memorable. Thumbs Up

I only had ONE biking journey where I went out for fun this year (poor show I know) so my best biking day would have to be that one back some time in April/May. I went up to the brecon beacons, got lost a few times and dumped out on a fantastic road that I couldn't find again if you paid me. Wide sweeping hilly roads, no trees just low rock walls, nothing else in sight except for a few sheep and lakes. The rest of the ride was spent chasing wobbly litre bikes and dodging comically slow cruisers.

Good day, spent about 6 hours larking about only stopping for fuel.

Best non biking related day was seeing my sons face when he realised he had got a bass guitar for xmas

Best biking related day other than finally changing gear mid wheelie was a ride out around the Elan Valley with a bunch on Firestorms. It was a mixed affair though. It wasn't so good for one guy though as he had an off and broke his wrist. Mad The rest of the run was awesome though. Thumbs Up Even though it was pissing down, some great riding took place. Very Happy

Best biking day was taking the old triumph for her MOT after 2 years of being off the road and it getting a pass with no advisories. Closely followed by my first 20minute commute to uni and filtering past the stinking old bus I used to have to catch as it was stuck in traffic. That bus used to take over an hour with 20 minute walks at both ends.

Best non biking day was yesterday... Went for the 20wk scan of our unborn second child and everything looks good. Sonographer was very happy with our little foetus.

Yep, I'll go with the majority of the posts in this thread - Passing my test on the 28th October.

Second best would be getting my new bike on the 11th of November.

I had my worst two possible biking days this year.

Seeing my Blade lying on it's side smashed to bits at the start of July, and then spending the next few weeks hobbling with a broken foot, Crying or Very sad.

And coming out in the morning to find some scrotum had decided my GSX-R now belonged to them.

2011 hasn't really been a good year for me with bikes....

Best day on the bikes this year was in the summer, when a few of us had MX / SM bikes.
Went green laning, Rox had a road legal CRF70 based 140cc bike.
I was on the YZF450. We did about 150/200 miles, down to dover via Pilgrims way.
Rox rode the YZF too. Smile

Biking - Been quite a few (VIP @ Donny for BSB was special, so was the MotoGP @ Silverstone) Best though prob goes to BSB Brands Hatch and watching the final round of the BSB with the missus and a couple of mates. Awesome last few laps and generally a top day.

Worst biking day (although you didnt ask) was riding near boxhill when my fairing fell off my 600rr.

Best day in general this year? Not sure really, been quite a few good'uns so couldn't single one out.
