Supposed to be a great combination and I have tried a few varieties but there was never enough chilli. My friend Yvette gave me some chilli chocolate for Xmas and again it failed to hit the spot so I livend it up by dipping it in Dave's Bhutt Jolokia sauce Click it sort of worked because I now enjoyed it but could not taste the chocolate (which I do not like) but I got sauce all over my nose and that now hurts

Given the amounts of chilli you eat and the strength of it it's not surprising that it wasn't hot enough for you. But if you take a chilli that is hot enough for you and give it to random people 99% of them will react with anger at you giving them something so horrible. So essentially it's only supposed to be a hint of chilli which is probably completely lost on your charred remains that were once taste buds Laughing

It is supposed to be subtle to match the chocolate flavour.

Also, chilli and choc is overrated IMO.
I had some chocolate that had cinnamon in it and that was much nicer.

I tend to buy Lindt's Chilli Chocolate and smear a thin layer of Blair's 2AM on it which I then put in the fridge and when I want some I just crack/cut some off.

That's fantastic, works really well.

What I am yet to try is to put some extract (probably around 2-3m SHU) directly into some melted down chocolate along with some Bonnets & Naga which I then re-mould, so you have chocolate with a bit of chilli in for taste combined with the pure heat of a low millions extract.

May do that this weekend actually. Laughing!

Extract in melted chocolate might not work well is it's just liquid fire with no real flavour, also it might separate as the chocolate cools. Worth a go though.
Perhaps dry and blend / finely chop some chillis and stick them in melted chocolate? Use dark chocolate too or you won't taste it.

Slightly unrelated but I filled an old chilli sauce bottle with vodka and stuck a bhut jolokia in it as a Xmas present for a mate (did it two weeks before Xmas). Needless to say it turned out even better than expected pure naga flavor and then one hell of a burn which keeps building for about ten minutes.

Will definitely be making more of that.
