Morning all.

As above does anyone know how this works?

Basically the girlfriends parents have just bought a new Tele with built in Freeview Tuner which apparently will record TV to USB storage via the USB slot.

How much storage is necessary for 4-5 hours of standard def tele? Would a 16gb USB stick suffice?
Like sky, would they be able to set things to record and forgot about it? Or will it only allow recording of what your watching there and then/live pause and rewind etc?

I dont know the exact make and model, I'm pretty sure its one of the Tesco own, Grundig or Bush varities but I'm hoping all these built in freeview teles have the same functionality.

Ta! Karma

Hence why I'm posting, manual's been chucked out with the box. (don't ask...)

I'm hoping to get round there at some point in the week so I can check the model number and google it online but for now I was wondering if anyone knew how they worked generically.

Fair point.
I've yet to see anything in the way of 'standard' menu systems so the hope they are all the same is unlikey to offer up anything useful.
Get the model number and post it up, someone may have the same one, you will most likely be able to get a PDF of it from the manufactures website as well.

You will pay about £0.80 per Gig on a stick, Buy a Tb external hard drive for £50 instead.
