My God Shocked theres a gale blowing today! Was just walking out the garage with tools to take down the christmas tree when i saw our greenhouse take off like a scene from the wizard of oz!! Half way through its take-off procedure it exploded and all the plastic panels went flying into next door neighbours gardens Laughing Just spent the past hour with my dad retrieveing it and partially taking down what was left! Pretty screwed though, its all bent and buckled now. Was just so surprised to see it emerging from over the garden fence and make a break for freedom Laughing

Take care if your out on your bikes today. Wouldnt recommend going out in it Shocked

My house is on a hill, I literally felt like the windows were going to blow through at one point this morning, it's mental.

Trains in Glasgow are off due to trampolines on the track.

I wouldn't worry, they'll bounce back soon enough.

Best place to see wind speeds online? BBC weather isn't great unless I'm looking in the wrong place.

Just put a new letter box on, the spring in my old one was shot and it rattled all night.
Ok is is not as bad as an exploding greenhouse or trampolines stopping trains but it was annoying.

I wouldn't like to be doing a motorway commute in this wind. Only nipped to the shops before and was getting blown all over the road.

50mph winds here, seems more when in the house though!

Three large sliding metal doors on the forge blew down complete with hangers ripped out of the wall.
About 15ft square each.
A small group of us were inside watching the wind & rain plus other various bits of debris flying past then crash.
Needless to say no one went outside for a fag for a while.

Got woken up this morning by a loud bang, which turned out to be the chimney falling into the front garden. thank got it missed the cars...

My cars got a dent in the door from a bin too, since they were out for collection today.

on the plus side, i've now got a massive trampoline and the inner part of quite a large tent... as well as a load of strongbow cans and plastic bags Thumbs Up

Hasn't been too bad in Gateshead, a few fenses have come down and the usual. My mate changed the oil in his bike yesterday though and a gust of wind chucked the oil pan all over his drive way Laughing What a gimp!
