i have a ss easton one rear wheel and was wondering if there is a way to convert it to 8/9 speed? wheel is 24h.

You need to fit a different rear sprocket cluster.

It is easy to blunder onto a forum Bike Chat Forums when looking for 'bicycle' info if you put bike into Google and click enuf.

You have probably confirmed form him that bikers are just ignorant cnuts and that poor guy won't ever own or want to own a motor bike now.
