After watching a stunt vid of a guy doing handstands while doing a wheelie, it got me thinking about other unique stunts which you would think were impossible, but might, in theory, actually be possible.

For instance, I'd like to see if anyone could skid the rear tyre while doing a wheelie, or even more difficult, skidding the front tyre while pulling a stoppie. Both are possible in theory, but I've not seen anyone do either yet.

Any other stunts you can think of, or would like to see, which are possible in theory but haven't been done yet..?

360 triple back flip into a stoppie doing a handstand on the exhaust... in theory, its possible. Thumbs UpSmile

I believe I've done this, on an NSR125F oddly enough.
Particularly dodgy road surface and even worse in the rain.
Of course the reason I believe this happened (skidded sideways in this case) was that I ended up on my back side.

Otherwise, it seems unlikely with all the weight one one tyre that you could then get it to lose traction - motorbikes have better weight distribution for grip than cars and with good enough tyres to wheelies, it seems unlikely you'll then be able to lose grip.
Perhaps you could engineer a situation with say a small sand bit, but that seems likely to cause more problems.

On a dirt bike off-road it's more likely as you have continuously variable terrain and tyres more designed to work while suffering some slip.

But...but that's just crazy...you might burn your hands! Very Happy

But I was thinking more along the blurred lines of theory and practice, rather than something utterly incredible. If that makes sense. Confused

Not sure about 'skid'; certainly had front wheel in the air & back spinning on a few occassions... occassionally the odd side to side shimmy while it was about it, causing a little flutter.

I have 'slid' a dirt bike sideways, with the front wheel in the air, sort of cornering style you see all the time in speed-way or US Dirt-Track, and in the hey-day of the US-super-Bike insurgents into GP, the likes of Kevin Schwantz & co doing it on tarmac.

But its sort of 'drifting' rather than 'skidding'.. idea of skidding to me is locking a wheel... so I cant see it being possible to wheelie, and lock the wheel at the same time

I'm Pretty sure I saw Steven_191 do this on his Mito before he had even done a CBT, Granted the front was at best only 3" off the ground but still.

Both would be theoretically possible with 2 additional elements.

1. ICE - a controlled amount of ice would make both possible.

2. HUMONGOUS BALLS - self explanatory

A vid of you completing both stunts would be great Thumbs Up
