Happy New Year to all. This looks like a lively Gixer school. Good because I've just aquired a 92 GSXR 750 in blue and white. Have still to go and pick it up after having a sit on it, listening to the engine, and working out how to pay for the damage to the nose fairing after the last owner dropped it against the house corner. Due to financial crisis have decided to 'repair' the broken nose (broken under mirror) and replace the screen. Screens seem cheap and plentiful but as yet (last owner waiting for log book (v5?), I don't knOw if it's a 'W' or a WN?? Registered 31st Dec 92. Are they all the same if the nose fairing covers he headlights?? Well! Here looks like a good place to learn and have some fun!! Will send pics ASAP!! All help and advice welcome with thanks!! Regards. Quikmac! [img][/img] ____________________ Forward, cultivate and speed! |

Gixers are either always getting in my way or blocking my rear view mirrors.

Fair play I always hear of it splashed around, never had a reason to actually go myself. ____________________ Roger wrote: Women don't get damp for clingy puppies. Get some better happy pills, hit the gym & buy a medallion the size of a dinner plate. Job done |

| 0ddball wrote: | Bet it's not as good as a blade! | Ha ha! It's a continuing story. I got the Blade cheap off a friend because I didn't have enough for a ZX7. After I got the Blade I just became more and more delighted with it. It was a 93 (went to new owner yesterday) and all original. Must be the most underated bike I know. It wasn't just 'quicker' than the ZX7, but much quicker!! Very comfortable, easy to ride, smooth and very powerful from 1 to 10!! I would get another anyday if I had the money. Meanwhile, I have my Gixer 750. I would compare it to a zxr750, but a bit more comfy for a small slim bloke, maybe a bit smoother though I've only ridden it a couple of miles so I've lots to learn yet. I got it quite cheap due to work needed on the nose fairing, but it's only done 27,000 miles, has a rear seat cowl, steering damper (standard??) and not a single crack in the fairing. I'm quite happy when I consider the change has helps me through my shitty £££££ situation. (Temporary I hope!) Got any pics of your ZXR?? I do like the kwak 750's (ZXR and ZX7) No bling~~just bike! ____________________ Forward, cultivate and speed! |

I have a 1995 GSXR 750 WS.
I have learnt loads about it since I've had it as I have rebuilt/ repaired most things now using workshop manual + help from the workshop section of this forum.
If you have any problems give me a PM and if I can help you I will.
Make sure you download a workshop manual as well.

Chris | This is e last slingshot they built is it not. I'm told it is a homolagation experiment, but what are the advantages of WS over the others from 92 onwards?? Being skint, I'm just glad that parts are cheap and plentyful.!! (ps~~have downloaded w shop manual and microfic h for part numbers. Do like this bike!! ____________________ Forward, cultivate and speed! |
