Motorbike to Car NCD

I have had a search of all the forum and can't find any definite answers some say different and some are a few years old and know some of the companies dont allow you now to use Motorbike NCD on car insurance. I passed my car test March 2010 and in March this year I will have 2 years on my full car license and 2 years NCD on my 125. I never got a car due to the fun of a motorbike and just got my full car license so it was out the way and I can use it whenever I want, now I'm looking at getting a car does anyone know of insurance companies that will accept my 2 years Motorbike NCD or will I have no chance and have to put down 0 years NCD, thanks.

Carole Nash do a 6 wheel policy where you insure a car and a bike on the same policy but you have to be over 21 and have held your car license for at least 2 years. They'll use your bike no claims to get you 2 years NCB for the car too. I've had bad experiences with them honouring clauses with what they've quoted (post payment) so get everything in writing and tread carefully.

Clearly the sensible option is to wait until you decide who you are going with, then speak to them over the phone and actually ask if they do.

If not, start all over again.

That is because there is No DIFINTIVE answer....

Each co will have its own policies, and I guess a lot will depend on how keen they are for new customers.

Afraid all you can do is talk to the co's that give you a quote you like and see if they do.

There are a few co's that do policies that allow bikes and cars together. If you have searched, then you will have found a couple which I put links to at least one that does Wink

Actually, there is absolutely nothing wrong with his sentence structure. Ask any English teacher and they will agree with me. They might suggest that the person who wrote it, finish off the sentence, rather than leave it hanging...but it's actually fine to use the past tense and the present in this way. Cool Thumbs Up
