Evening, im looking at a Honda CB1 400f on ebay, it only £450 got tax, mot. Owner admits its a bit scruffy but im not overly worried about that. Anyone owned one? what are they like to own and ride day to day?
Any words of advice of them would be helpful..
cheers !

When I bought my first post-learner motorcycle I had a choice between the CB-1 or the Superfour, I chose the Superfour because it was more sophisticated and practical.

The CB-1 is strangely skinny and small but people do say it's excellent as a street bike; you wouldn't want to go touring on it but it's more fun than the Superfour.

Whoa there. It's a 21 year old import with 47,000 miles on it, it's not insured (and so shouldn't be taxed), there's no claim that it works beyond the engine "sounding sweet", and no pictures or mention of the state of the shocks, tyres or chain.

WeMoto do have good parts stock, but get some insurance quotes, and ask some very straight questions about service history (if any) and the condition of the bike.

That said, if it's a dog you probably can sell it on or part it out.

rob_scott92 aye that be that one ! Wink I now have 4 bikes... :/

It was true to the minimal description that it was a bit scruffy but did most of the checks and mechanically it was sound and started up easily. I have access to sand blasting, milling machines, spray booths etc so hopfully i cant improve its looks and give the ole girl a face lift.

Obviously you cant judge a book by the cover but he seemed a very legit gent who rode himself. And it came with tons of service history. All in all think it should be a gooden..I hope.
