Read your paper part. Should have provisional group B entitlement on there in the green bit.

Ah thanks ye theres a b on it, could of spent weeks on the phone to dvla trying to find out why, wonder why its not written on my plastic part.

Because a pink licence is a full licence. They only put things you have full entitlement for on it. Hence the counterpart with a green bit on for provisional stuff.

I didn't say it had to be a logical reason.

Right, so my pink plastic licence has A, B, B1 fkp on it.

Do I have a full tractor, lawnmower and moped licence?

Can I go and buy a small tractor or do I need to do something to activate it?

Yes, you do

You can buy one if you want and will be licenced to drive it.

If you'd done your test earlier, you'd also have electric vehicles and vehicles used for very short distances on public roads (l and n) like what I have.

You need to fit L-plates to a road roller though and be accompanied if it has more than one seat.

Wonder how they will work this when they dump the paper counterpart.....

Or will it just be given that, on a full licence, that you have provisional for all other groups.

At a guess, they will just make it so you have no entitlement for anything other than what you pass your test for, if you want any other entitlement you will have to do a test for it.

They won't as long as courts still write penalty points on your licence with a blue biro.

This was one of the parts of the December 2010 consultation, where they are looking to close ALL local branches.

Along with many other things they are looking to be made online, rather than needing a paper based system.

Girlfriend told me a story how the 16 year olds in her village used to drive their tractors around like boy racers instead of mopeds. Used to meet on the village car and mess around. Laughing Laughing

It's the clerk of the local county court that writes the points in, not the DVLA. They then tell the DVLA once they've done it (this can take some time to filter through).
